Dear club members and
friends....
It is with much
sadness that we report to you that Wynn Strickland has left us
for the Rainbow Bridge.
This is truly the
loss of an Icon of our breed, definitely an incredible loss to
our club. She who started our club, and who kept an eye on the
club and its membership until her last days.
I considered myself
very lucky to have met Wynn, to have studied her books through
out the years, to learn many of my dog training methods from
her. To this day, her book "The German Shepherd Today",
remains my GSD Bible.
We will advise of any
memorial services as the information becomes available to us.
But for today, in
Wynn's honor, take a few extra minutes, and spend some extra
quality time with your dogs.
God speed Wynn, I can
only imagine the reception all your dogs will have for you at
the Rainbow.

Passing of Robert "Bob" Urbston

..Friday April the 5th Bob Urbston passed away after
a 15-year battle with Parkinson’s disease..
I have attached information

knew Bob..

We are Dedicated: to Maintaining the Natural Qualities
of the
German Shepherd Dog Breed!
Founded in 1959, the objective of our club has always been to
do everything possible to bring the natural qualities of the
German Shepherd Dog to perfection and to protect and advance the
best interests of the breed.
The Diamond State Club meets on the fourth Thursday of each
month, except June, July and August. We discuss nutrition and
health, training, grooming and other topics selected to help our
members better understand and care for their dogs. We also
hold annual dog shows and obedience trials plus sanctioned
matches.
Dues are $15.00 per person, $25.00 per couple, $30.00 per
family and $10.00 for Junior membership. The fiscal year begins
November 1. Persons who join later will have their dues assessed
accordingly.
German Shepherd Dog owners and prospective owners are invited
to attend our meetings and apply for membership. Information is
available by sending an E:mail to the Recording Secretary under
the Index.
